Using WhatsApp Disappearing Messages can be a simple way to add some extra security to your conversations and protect your sensitive information. Disappearing messages can be enabled by default for new chats, or on a conversation by conversation basis. We'll go over how to use this feature to keep your conversations private.

Firstly, let's look at how to enable disappear messages for all new chats. Go to your WhatsApp settings by tapping the three dots at the top right corner of your chat screen. When you send the message, you'll see a little clock icon in the message area signifying that the message will disappear after a set amount of time.

Keep in mind that disappearing messages can have a set amount of time set against each, there are several options available including 24 hours and a fixed timeframe durations in which the sender can define up to the message gets deleted. The recipient will be notified when this time limit is up and they will see the message area with nothing but their memories of the conversation it will only stay in your chat for the pre-configured time.
